The General Auditing Commission (GAC) is the Supreme Audit Institution of Liberia, established to promote transparency, accountability, and good governance in the management of public resources.

As an independent institution, the GAC conducts regular audits of government ministries, agencies, public corporations, and donor-funded projects to ensure compliance with financial regulations, effective use of public funds, and proper implementation of development initiatives.

Key responsibilities of the GAC include:

Conducting financial, compliance, and performance audits.
Reporting audit findings to the Legislature and the public.
Recommending measures to improve public financial management.
Promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in the public sector.
