Yusador Saadatu Gaye CPA, CGMA, is the Auditor General of the Republic of Liberia, she was appointed as Acting Auditor General on September 18th, 2013. Ms. Gaye was confirmed by the Liberia Senate on February 24th, 2014 and she was commissioned as Auditor General Republic of Liberia on March 26, 2014, making her the first female Auditor General in the history of the Commission. Ms. Gaye as Auditor General will provide support to the Legislature in holding the Government accountable for the transparent and responsible use of public resources by carrying out audits and inquiries of funds owned or controlled by the Government of Liberia.
Ms. Gaye is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She is a graduate of North Carolina Central University with Master of Public Administration degree (Magna Cum Laude) and Bachelor of Science degree (Suma Cum Laude) in Accounting from Saint Augustine’s College in North Carolina. Ms. Gaye is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina State Board of Public Accountants and The American Society for Public Administrators.
Prior to her appointment as Auditor General of the Republic of Liberia, Ms. Gaye served as Foreign Service Inspector General with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she was responsible for inspection of Liberian diplomatic missions and consular establishments abroad. She has worked as a Senior Accounting and Financial Management Advisor with the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer for over fourteen (14) years. She has also worked as a Bank Examiner with the North Carolina Banking Commission and a Senior Accountant with a Regional Accounting Firm in United State of America (USA).
